The initiative’s intention is to expand the cognition of german IT security companies and the cooperation between the members of the initiative and partners in foreign countries.

The initiative is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and works as Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT is responsible for organisation and management of the network.
