The UTM firewall solution from gateProtect contains a scan engine which has won several international awards. The latest generation of antivirus gateway scans HTTP, FTP, POP3, SMTP and (from version X.2 onwards) also HTTPS. To this end files are loaded by a proxy from the internet, scanned for viruses in the firewall and then passed on to the user who is accessing them. Our customers thus have the best protection against the daily threats from viruses in emails or from other websites.

When you open certain websites on the internet you are exposed to the risk that your computer may be infected by viruses which are then installed on the computer by means of scripts contained on the websites.
